Training Overview

The Workforce and Career Development Certification Training (WCDC) course covers fundamental workforce development competencies and skills required for the effective delivery of high-quality career development services. WCDC training is built upon three nationally accredited and industry recognized certifications, including the Certified Career Services Provider Certification (CCSP), Global Career Development Facilitator Certification (GCDF), and the Certified Workforce Development Professional Certification (CWDP). The WCDC coursework includes over 20 core competencies that all workforce development professionals should possess in order to provide their customers with superior service and expertise in the areas of assessment, career planning, business services, working with diverse populations, and ethics.

Course Delivery

Flexibility is the key to providing meaningful training to adult learners who are currently working within the field of Workforce Development. TAD Grants has the agility and expertise to provide the WCDC training in a variety of ways, and possesses the experience and ability to work with both individuals and groups to determine the most effective way to facilitate, customize and deliver this 12-week course.

Options include:

Mixed Learning: A combination of in-person and on-site delivery to large cohorts, including a mix of distance learning and in-person instruction, including weekly assignments and targeted instructor feedback.

E-Learning: This option includes course content delivered exclusively via online technology that includes competency modules, videos, online research, and video conferencing on a regularly scheduled basis.

Live Webinar: Once per quarter, a live webinar series is facilitated requiring students to log in and attend two (2) one- hour (1hr) live webinars each week for 12 weeks. This method combines independent curriculum review with instructor-led webinars that cover course materials each week.

Course Completion and Certification

Upon successful completion and mastery of WCDC curriculum, including adequate completion of all assignments and demonstration of required participation, students will receive a Certificate of Completion. This certificate confirms that the student has gained the knowledge and core competencies listed above, and may be used to apply for the certifications listed below:

Cost

Fee Per Student: $1,200 (includes the certificate of completion)
