Course One: Case Management Fundamentals

This course targets learners who are new to job seeker services and workforce development case management.  Content
is designed to orient new hires to the important role of case management within the workforce development system, and
will equip learners with the key elements of an effective case management system, the fundamental roles and responsibilities
of a case manager/career practitioner, and the case management-focused process that will enable them to successfully guide
job seekers through workforce development programs and services.

Live Workshop

Course Two:  Rethinking Reentry: Mindfully Meeting Outcomes | October 28, 2020 | 2:00-3:30pm EST

This live workshop will be 1 ½ hours in length and will provide live instructor led training. With the many changes to
the corrections and justice system the need to apply highly effective case management and career advising services is
imperative to the health of our workforce. Working with justice involved youth and adults requires a set of skills that
push upon the social service boundaries and go well beyond training and job placement services. This workshop
will explore the skills needed to successfully engage, serve and retain justice involved individuals to promote the
success of programs, participant and our workforce. Attendees will learn best practices and skills  required to
effectively serve justice involved participants. We will discuss hot to engage corrections and other justice partners
for referral, recruitment and service delivery

Along with exploring best practices for designing programs that address the needs of participants beyond workforce services.

E-Learning Course

Course Three: Career Advising Fundamentals

This course will provide learners with an overview of career advising within the workforce development system. Learning
objectives will include career assessments, individual career planning, career transition planning, and retention strategies.
These objectives will be underpinned and woven together by focusing on the importance of relationships throughout
the advising process; each topic will stress the importance of building a strong and productive relationship with job
seekers as learners guide them through the career advising process and support them in the achievement of their identified
career goals.

Live Workshop

Course Four: Career Development and Transition | November 4, 2020 | 2:00-3:30pm EST

This live, interactive, 1 ½ hour workshop will provide insights into the career development principles for those new to
the workforce and those experiencing career transition. Based on proven career development theories, this workshop
will explore the ways in which career decisions are made at different stages in a persons life as well as best practices for
developing comprehensive career plans and identifying resources for job seekers.
